Fire Brick News
Many of our customers are not sure which direction to go once they notice a hot-spot on the burner chamber shell. When they investigate the refractory inside the burner unit even more questions arise. What material is in the unit? Will a complete rebuild be necessary? How long will the repair take?
At Fire Brick Engineers, we have the answers to these questions and more. After a site inspection our sales staff can help determine the appropriate repair and provide a scope of work that fits your budget and time line. The pictures below detail a recent project perfomed on a burner chamber heating a plenum.

The refractory was removed from the top half of the burner chamber. This saves time on demolition and installation while lowering material costs. New anchors and back-up insulation are welding in place for the gunnite material to be sprayed onto the arch.
The finished product took 3 days.
